A leaving card featuring a sad bear with a sad expression. The reason it is sad is blindingly obvious. Someone it cares for is leaving. That’s enough. No more is said and no one wants to say any more. The sender and the recipient have feelings that are the whole of the situation. Who can say how long it took to engender the relationship the loss of which is causing such sadness. Perhaps it grew slowly or perhaps it was an instant thing, as in ‘they just hit it off’.
