The hare and the tortoise may compete, but they both get there in the end. The message of the card is that completing the course is worthy of congratulations, whoever gets to the winning post first. That said, it is not clear who is going to be the first. Maybe it will be a dead heat. Maybe the two of them will shake hands as they cross the winning post together.
