Red Hearts

Description

Red Hearts Valentine Card featuring a lavender coloured portable typewriter seen from above. The typewriter is set against a dark damson-coloured background. In the typewriter is a long sheet of paper on which is written ‘Be My Valentine’, repeated several times, with hearts floating up the page.

We used the American Typewriter font or typeface for the Be My Valentine text. It’s a modern slab serif typeface created in 1974.

We chose this font because it looks like a typewriter font, of course. It is available as a digital font, which we need to make our greeting cards.

There are other fonts that look like typewriter fonts, though, some dating back to the late 1800s.
