If you haven’t read Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, it is a whimsical tale about a young girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole. That in itself is odd, is it not? She finds herself in a fantastical world full of bizarre and peculiar characters. Her adventure begins when she follows a rabbit, dressed in a waistcoat and holding a pocket watch, down the rabbit hole. This leads her into a surreal, dream-like place known as Wonderland.
In Wonderland, Alice encounters a series of strange and often nonsensical characters, each with their own quirks and peculiarities. She meets the eccentric Mad Hatter and March Hare at a never-ending tea party. Another character she meets is a grinning Cheshire Cat who can disappear at will. That leads to the tyrannical Queen of Hearts who obsessively orders executions over minor offences. Throughout her journey, Alice experiences constant changes in size after eating and drinking various magical substances, which complicates her efforts to navigate Wonderland.
All these encounters challenge her understanding of logic and reality. Finally she finds herself in a courtroom presided over by the Queen of Hearts, where a nonsensical trial takes place. Just as the absurdity reaches its peak, Alice wakes up to realize that her adventures in Wonderland were a dream.
